ARUSHA VOLUNTEER PLACEMENTS
In order to best serve local communities, WHAT’s team works together with other NGOs on many of the same project, thus insuring enough assistance to make a real difference. After a complete informal interview, volunteers are placed according to their profession, life and work experience, and individual interests. During your period of voluntary service, you will learn directly from local people about the fascinating and ancient tribal cultures and traditions of some of Tanzania’s 120 different ethnic groups as well as followers of its dominant Christian and Muslim faiths and traditional religions. While contributing something useful to the people of Tanzania, you’ll receive in return a great sense of personal satisfaction, new-found friends, and a life-changing experience that will forever alter your views of this amazing continent.
